When I walked a mile in your shoes

I saw what you saw

   I saw pain

   I saw suffering

I felt what you felt

   I felt heartache

   I felt sorrow

I heard what you heard

   I heard yelling

   I heard crying

I sensed what you sensed

   I sensed anger

   I sensed evil

Suddenly,

The truth became clear

When I walked a mile in your shoes
