Remember the Day 9-11
Stephen, South Meadow School

It started out as a normal day,
As people hurried on their way,
People came and went with jobs to do.
How their lives would change, they never knew.

Four planes ascended up to fly,
On the September day with clear blue sky.
The first plane hit tower one,
What could we do? What had they done?

The news went out so very fast.
We watched in horror as the time passed.
The second tower was struck and fell.
We were now in "Living Hell."

As we watched we could not believe.
The Pentagon had been hit by plane number three.
In a field went down plane number four.
People were thinking, "Would there be more?"

As the heroes emerged all that day,
The nation united, we watched and prayed.
History will say that we have won.
The nation emerged from the dust, on that dreadful day, "911".
