happiness is just a fairy tale
talked about but never felt
hit by depression like a nail
not even caring about myself

happiness is just a fairy tale
nothing more than a lie
but let your imagination sail
as I suffer and eventually die

happiness is just a fairy tale
though that's not what I want
depression covers like a veil
Your words always shall taunt

happiness is just a fairy tale
but it’s not like you care about me
cruel words make my body frail
they confine me, I wish to be free

happiness is just a fairy tale
but only through my frightened eyes
you’re normal and kill that fail
forcing me to live this life of lies
