Under the age of 16 they would have to have a New Hampshire Youth Employment Certificate. A 16 or 17 year old would have to have written permissions from a parent or legal guardian giving them permission to work.

How do youths get a New Hampshire Youth Employment Certificate?
First they find a job. The employer should than give them what is called an employers request for child labor form completed. The youth then would bring that to their local school or superintendents office and they will issue the certificate RSA 276-A:5 which is brought back to the employer.
