2009 Kids Keene on Safety Camp
The 2nd annual Kids Keene on Safety week-long summer camp was held at Trinity Christian School in Keene, NH. Forty-two campers, ages 6 to 9 years old, learned and practiced safety exercises including exiting a smoke-filled house, bike riding safety, what to do if your canoe overturns, electrical safety, rescue breathing, and animal handling safety.
Members of Keene's Fire, Police, and Youth Services departments, as well as volunteers from local businesses and the community, worked with the kids. In addition to support from the City of Keene, the camp was sponsored by WalMart, Liberty Mutual, K-ROCK 101.9, Cheshire TV, Sim’s Press Inc., Trinity Lutheran Church, Kiwanis of Keene, g.housen, Peerless, The Mountain, Foley Funeral Home and RJ Diluzio Ambulance Service.
